[SOLVED] ATI 1650 problem

ATI 1650 card will not post x8:
catalyst 7.9,SmartGart shows speed=x0
fast write off
AGP write and read off
hardware moniter agrees and no conflicts
i removed and reinstalled driver and catalyst..same

MotherBoard:DFI LanParty UT soc754 nF3 250
has lastest bios
tried x8 and auto in bios..no change
agp fast write-enabled
AGP aperature 256(same as card)tried others-same

any ideas anyone?

More often then not, that means that there's something wrong with the motherboard chipset drivers. I'd install them again (instructions here).

Hit it right on the button,had to go to nvidia for the drivers because DFI was way out of date...the card posts correctly and with the new suite of drivers my entire system has increased by ~20-25%.
