X1900 XTX Graphical Corruption
So I've had my X1900 XTX (512MB) for just over a year, and all of a sudden, I can't play any 3D games for more than a couple minutes before I get terrible graphics corruption and will get a VPU recover dialog, informing me that the card had stopped responding and has reset itself.
I would send it in for RMA, but of course this started happening a couple days after the warranty was up. Thanks ATI... Does anyone know if this can be fixed, or is the card shot? My specs: Gigabyte P35-DS3R Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 2.56 GB DDR2 RAM Radeon X1900 XTX driver version 7.9 (latest, no hotfixes) SB Audigy 2 |

Re: X1900 XTX Graphical Corruption
I'm downloading it now as we speak, but the problem crops up in all games, from Overlord to Bioshock to Counter-Strike: Source, so I can't see how it's a driver issue.
I'm using a Thermaltake TR2 500W PSU, and have been for longer than I've had the card. |

Re: X1900 XTX Graphical Corruption
After reading around for a couple reviews, I'm looking at the Enermax Infiniti 720W or the PC Power & Cooling 750W. Could either of these pose a problem? I'm leading towards the Enermax because of it's modular design, and they're both rated for the same peak wattage. None of the brands you recommended are available in high enough wattage near me at the moment.

Re: X1900 XTX Graphical Corruption
Well, I just tested the new PSU (PC P&C Silencer 750 Quad) on the Bioshock Demo, and the results were sadly the same as last time. Thanks for the help guys, but it looks like my X1900 is shot, unless anyone thinks it could be anything different.
