[SOLVED] monitor dosnt turn on when pc turns on

ok hear it is.
my monitor sometimes doesn't turn on when i turn my pc on, and when it does come one its turns off when it wants.

i don't think its the graphics card cause it works fine in my other pc
its not the power supply cause it worked before and i have brought a new one anyway, -this also does not treat the problem.
tried buying a new monitor, - this doesn't fix the problem
not the hard drive(works fine in other pc)

could it be the motherboard?

anyone know what the problem is and how i may fix it?

also, this has nothing to do with my other graphics card problem (its another pc in my house that has that problem)

what power supply did you have and what did you replace it with
did you check what size wattage you required before replacing it,as this points to a power problem

its not a power supply problem i dont think.
i worked before with the other power pack for ages but then i got the problem of the monitor never doing what it should be doing. so i changed the power pack witch didn't fix anything.

we only see what you post of your computer,you need to paint a picture and need to post the information requested so we can see what we are dealing with
most make the mistake of replacing the power supply with one of the same wattage as cheap as they can find one

aight.
i had 12v power supply and replaced it with a 12v power supply.
but my pc came with the 12v power supply in the first place.
and it worked for ages before it started messing up. (more than a year)
the only reason i replaced the power supply is cause it stopped working after i didnt turn the pc and decided to pull the plug out (not on purpose) so it blew.

i have a amd athlon xp2600+ processer
512mb ddr
radeon 9000 128mb
os : xp

you know the difference between a pc and a laptop
a pc usually runs on a 115v in the usa and 230v in europe
it's your reference to 12v the reason for the query

the brand
wattage
12v lines[s] amps

sorted it out now!!!!!
i think......
it was the power pack.
swapped it with one of my old pc's and it seems to be working fine now eccept for the millions of virus's but i can sort that out.
