VideoCard Doubts
Hey guys,
I used to be a real computer wiz but I have been out of the field for about two years and I am kind of in the dark regarding Motherboards, Processers and Video Cards. I am looking to replace my current video card but I am not willing to replace my MB to do that. I have an AGP 4x8x slot and I want to know what card would be the best option for under $150. Anyone have a good suggestion. I have been looking at many reviews from people but they always say the cards I look at have problems with overheating. I was looking at a Radeon® X1650 Pro 512MB AGP. Thanks |

Re: VideoCard Doubts
Do you do alot of gaming?
The 7800gs is quite a good card for $115. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130274 Just make sure you have enough power to run a new card. |

Re: VideoCard Doubts
What do you think is more important the memory size or the amount of bits supported? One card is 256bit and the other is 128 bit but the 128 bit has more memory. Looks like the Geforce has more pixel pipelines.

Re: VideoCard Doubts
Dont get the X1650 Pro as most of them come with underclocked GDDR2 ( Thanks to TheMatt for teaching me this
)The 7800gs will be alot faster than the X1650pro. As for the Memory vs Bits. I dont really know. I know that more memory allows higher resolutions etc, but ive never looked into what the Bits do. |
