DX10 Advice

I've been watching videos of games utilizing DX10 and have been getting pretty excited however, I'm curious how well the Radeon HD 2900xt will be able to run these games that have yet to be released. Perhaps this is a stupid question as how could any of you know, but I'm just wondering if this card I just spent $400+ on (the 2900xt) will be able to play Crysis and other DirectX10 games on full detail?

Re: DX10 Advice

Hes already got the 2900XT.

In my honest opinion - I dont think it will run Crysis on max settings, It should still defenatly play it though.

To run it on max Resolution / Settings your going to need the 9xxx series from Nvidia. ( Im a nvidia man, i dont know much about the ATI cards ).

TBH right now ATI doesn't have the best drivers for the Radeon HD 2k series. But if ATI ever wrote drivers that fully utilized the suparscalar architecture of the pipeline, the HD 2900XT would run in circles around the 8800 Ultra and might even come close to the G90 in terms of performance.
