Screen is always flickering [Pics]
Basically i dont know if this is exactly a video card problem but im assuming it is.
This happens completely random and i can not force the problem to occur. This problem only ever happened when playing World of Warcraft. My screens(2 LCDs) start flickering with white lines all over it. Pics to help describe it better: (Cell phone pics) ![]() ![]() Video Card: Geforce 8600GT This problem has never happened when not in WoW, however WoW is the only game i have/play. When i alt tab out of wow the flickering is still present. When i restart my computer it is gone, however if i go into WoW again it will start the moment i move my character. When this just happened i checked my video cards Temp with nTune and it was at 49C-50C. This seems like it would be a normal temp. I upgraded to the latest drivers the first time this happened. So i dont know what to exactly do, i cant return the card and would rather not have to deal with buying a new one. Any help is appreciated. |

Re: Screen is always flickering [Pics]
mine is a BFG Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT OC PCIe 256mb, im not the best when it comes to hardware so i dont exactly know what chipset pertains too.
But after looking the box just now it say Life time warranty, i may look into that i hope if i provide credit card info they will send first, because i use my PC for work. Also sucks to hear you having this problem also, i assume from the first reply i got your PSU is perfectly fine for this card and wouldnt be causing the problem. |

Re: Screen is always flickering [Pics]
i assume he has the 650W.. thats the one i have, but yea i have the BFG chipset as well.. the OC version too, i dunno if BFG is bad or Nvidia, but im not risking it with another nvidia again, im gunna crossfire two ATi's, but i recommend getting your money back for that card and getting something else.

Re: Screen is always flickering [Pics]
I think I've had the same problem as you. But I'm really not sure, anyways.
What is your frame rate in WoW? You can see by pressing Ctrl + R. If it's 60+ (I'm guessing it is), then it's probably because the monitor can't handle the high frame rate, therefore causing the screen to have lines. What you can do it is: In WoW, go to video options, then turn on V-Sync. This allows the the frame rate to never go agove the standard frame rate for your monitor. I'm not sure if it will work, but try it. |
