[SOLVED] My mutiple monitor configuration keeps resetting

Hello I am new here and this problem is really annoying. I have had a four monitor setup for over a year now with no real problems, until recently. I have a ATI 7200, ATI 9250, and a GForce 2 cards. I know you shouldn't mix manufactures but once I disabled the ATI control panel I was fine.

That is until I recently installed a Lite-On DVD/CD burner with light scribe. Now about every fourth or fifth time I start up my computer the settings for how the monitors are arranged reverts to some windows default and all of my icons are moved to the primary monitor.

I should also add that all four of my monitors are very old and are just starting to get a little fuzzy/shaky. Unfortunately I can't afford new ones right now. I checked to see if any of the cards came loose and didn't find anything. I have reinstalled the main ATI drivers and still no luck. When I went to use system restore it said it was unable. Can someone please help me.

Thank You

Re: My mutiple monitor configuration keeps resetting

I think I figured it out. I reinstalled the driver for my nividia card after having to find it online and so far so good.

Re: [SOLVED] My mutiple monitor configuration keeps resetting

I stand corrected it is still happening. But I figured out it is directly related to burning DVD's with my new lite-on burner. Does any one know why this might be happening? Please help
