Monitor doesn't display properly
Hello,
I have an LG 1919S LCD Monitor hooked up to an onboard SIS 760 Graphics Chipset through VGA. I have installed all the proper drivers for the monitor and chipset through the CD's provided by the manufacturer (websites don't have any drivers at all) and if the resolution is set above 1024*768, I can't see the whole screen. Example, if i move my mouse down, the screen moves down, and if i move to the right, I will see the right side, and it will scroll over, etc. I'm hoping this is a driver issue, and an easy fix, thanks! |

Re: Monitor doesn't display properly
Hi,
![]() Is this a laptop? I would start with the latest drivers from SiS's web site. They are stable. Download them here: http://www.sis.com/download/download_step1.php You must install the drivers in Safe Mode. Otherwise they won't install at all. When in Display Properties, go to the Settings tab and click Advanced... Go to the SiS Utility Manager tab and click Driver Mode Settings. Try selecting the resolution from there. Be sure not to exceed the max refresh rate your monitor can handle. To be safe, use 60 Hz.
