Re: Best card under £70
If you have a 600+w PSU already though, then you might as well go with the X1650XT which is a much better choice performance wise.

Naa!
7600GT beats it hands down, (at least for Doom3) and you don't have to suffer the dreadful Catalyst Control Centre. http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphi...=734&chart=285 |

The X1650XT does over twice as many shader operations per second. Don't make me go into my shader rant...

Re: Best card under £70
The 8600GT will slightly beat the old 7600GT and X1650XT in raw performance.
In addition to speed, the 8600GT has the added bonus of DirectX-10 as well as being a good overclocker. http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...roductID=17156 And this GTS.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/X-VISION-256MB...QQcmdZViewItem Last edited by Houndog777; 06-26-2007 at 06:49 PM. Reason: Add |

You should know that's probably like a 150W unit you have there with it's performance.
A 7600GT would be fine, but I would lean with a 8600GT TBH, as the price is very similar and it's DX10 supporting, aswell as a good overclocker for better performance (stock it's not too good).
