Lockups in games

Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ 2.4Ghz
2GB of RAM
ATI Radeon x1650 pro (PCIE)
ASUS A8N-E
Playing 'low graphic demanding' games such as World of Warcraft, Counterstrike Source, ect...

The problem I keep having is getting random lockups while playing any game. While playing the game just freezes, the sound goes in a endless loop, and my monitor turn off as if a signal was lost from the video card forcing me to reboot manually. This recently started happening and I don't know why. Nothing is overclocked and seems that my PC is at a stable temperature so I'm kinda lost here.

I've played a game(World of Warcraft)at low settings and resolution, reformatted my drive, reinstalled windows, installed necessary applications, and have the newest video drivers. My card currently receives 3.33v is that enough? or too much? Could power be the problem? I recently got rid of a defected 7900GTX and replaced it with this card (x1650 Pro).

The only thing I can think of is heat for the problem but my system is always under 35c. Any help would be appreciated.

My System

Re: Lockups in games

Hi, welcome to TSF

When you replaced the card, did you uninstall the old drivers and install the new in VGA mode?

Open the case and post back with the details from the PSU label (make/model, total watts, amps for +3.3V, +5V and +12V)

Download SensorsView and post the full details for all temperatures and voltages at startup and again while playing a 3D game (or 2 SensorsView screenshots if that's easier)

Enter your full system specs into this power calculator, and add 30% to the total to allow for PSU inefficiency.
