ATi 9550 Installation
I just purchased an ATi Radeon 9550 AGP Card to install in a Dell Dimension 4400 1.7Ghz system with 1054Ram. I have graphics, but I have no green or red colors on the screen. I've installed the.Net Framework 2.0 that the card was telling mr it required and I've installed the new Catalyst 7.4 for the card. Still no green or red. Does anyone have clue what might be going on with this card?

Re: ATi 9550 Installation
Make sure the card is firmly seated in the motherboard slot. Check the pins in the monitor connector to see if any are bent or pushed in. If possible, try another cable or test the monitor on another computer.

Thanks ..Will give it a try... Just finished installing a 430 Watt Power Supply because everyone in the Forum talks about inadequate power supplies for video cards. That didn't do it. I'll pull out another monitor and post again in just a few

Re: ATi 9550 Installation
Thanks Koala....Changed monitors and VIBRANT COLORS appeared... Guess I wasted my time running to Best Buy and getting a new power supply, but everyone talks about all the problems with the 250 Watt supply that came with the Dimension 4400 so I guess I solved two problems with one night.
Thanks again Koala BamaJeff |
