Is this card Direct X 10 ready?

How would it respond on Direct X 10?

no a 7800 is not DX10.only DX10 cards out right now are the geforce 8 series.

for anything under the 8 series is going to perform horribly?

No, the GeForce 7 and Radeon X1k series, and even the Radeon X850 series are still great cards. If you need a high end AGP card, look for the X1950XT AGP.

It is fast, but very expensive. You can get an 8800GTS 320 MB for that price.
