First point: I know nothing (or very little) about graphics cards.
I have a radeon X300/550 series graphics card, it has three ports: a VGA output, a DVI output and a yellow AV port like that to input video to my TV. I am able to connect my digital camera to my TV's AV port to display the picture on the TV insted of on the LCD screen. Alternatively is the AV port on my PC intended as an output, in which case can I connect a TV to my PC and display the image on my monitor? If either is possable which software do I need to use to enable the function? Any help is greatly apreceated. Thanks. Dave loyalstokie |

Re: radeon X300/550 series graphics card
Hi Dave, and welcome to TSF!
![]() The yellow connector on the card (called a composite video connector) is an output. You can use it to display your computer display on your TV, but you can't connect the camera to the LCD monitor. The easiest way to connect the digital camera to the computer IMO is just to plug it in via USB (or Firewire, whichever it uses) and to open the picture/video files on the computer. You can connect it directly to the monitor, but it is quite a hassle.
