Re: Guys, recommend me some cards!
Hi,
![]() What is your budget? That system uses the Intel 91x series chipset, so it will use PCIe instead of AGP, but you should check that it has a PCIe slot instead of all PCI slots first. Just look inside the case. Depending on the budget, a card like this would be a good choice: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130062 It would require a PSU upgrade though! Is this a tower or a small form factor PC? If it is a tower, then take a look at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371002

Re: Guys, recommend me some cards!
I believe that I use PCI express. Thanks
I opened up the slot and I saw a video card in one white slot. There are two of these. I also saw a black slot that said PCI express. Any recomendations about what card I should buy? |

Re: Guys, recommend me some cards!
There are tons of cards you can slap in there. The problem, though, is that it's a Dell. If you want serious power you'll also need to install a better power supply.

Take a look at this good guide. It shows AGP/PCI video cards, but PCI express is basically the same. If you are still having a lot of trouble figuring out how to install it, you might want to take the computer a local shop. The PSU is very easy to install. You just have to put it in where the old ones is (its only a few screws) and then unplug the cables from the old PSU and plug them in from the new one. You don't have to worry about pluging in connectors the wrong way or in the wrong slot since they won't fit if you try.

Thanks. I dont really want serious power. I just dont want to lag like crap in counter strike source.
Any recommendations for video cards that dont need a battery source? |

Re: Guys, recommend me some cards!
That will be tough. Without a PSU upgrade, you shouldn't upgrade to more than a GeForce 6200, which won't be enough. You will need a card like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814122008 You should still upgrade the PSU. The problem is that Dell uses PSUs that are like 250 w, which is barely enough for the stock configuration. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371006
