Question about my ATi Radeon X1900XTX
I'm wondering what the default Core and Memory clock speeds on this video card should be. Looking around Newegg.com, it lists core/memory clock speeds for this card as 650Mhz/1500Mhz, roundabouts. However, using ATITool, it shows the default for my card as 500/600. Are these readings correct? Is there another tool I can use to measure the clock speeds? Is my card severely underpowered as compared to what it should be?

Re: Question about my ATi Radeon X1900XTX
howdy alabamaman,
Tjose are pretty much correct... Take the 600 and times it by 2 this will give you a 1200mhz for the ram so your in the same ball park, ATI tool can somtimes mislead you.. Run the ATI tool for max clock.. let us know what it says

Re: Question about my ATi Radeon X1900XTX
During the Core Clock test, it reached about 571Mhz and then the system locked up and video card seemed to have shut off as there was no picture. I'm not sure if it did that because it overworked the card or if there were other factors in play as well.

Re: Question about my ATi Radeon X1900XTX
more than likely it overheated the card.. Do you have good cooling in your case? Thats the number one thing..
But like I said those speeds are normal, Just have to take the meory and times it by 2
