Corrupt Video Card Drivers?
Recently i bought a powercolor 9550 AGP 256 video card, and installed it with no problems. This worked for hours of computer gameplay, with perfect quality. The next day after having shut down my computer overnight i attemted the same game and the video card crashes after 5 minutes. I looked at the troubleshooter for the game, which suggested updating drivers which i did, restarted and the card worked fine, so i thought id solved the problem. Again, next day it crashed and thought the power supply to be the problam as the box for the card said 300 W power supply recommend and my system had 250W. Bought a 550W PSU which didnt solve the problem. I tried reinstalling drivers, which again made it work. Now every time i want to play a computer game i have to install the drivers again and restart before play. Although this gets around the problem of crashes and the card works fine after, it is not ideal and i would prefer to sort the problem fully if possible. Any ideas would be welcome. Sorry if replys are late.

Try driver cleaner, follow the instructions and remove all drivers relating to video. Then reinstall the latest drivers. |
