I have an Nvidia 7800 GS OC.

While I dont know if this is the problem or not, when ever I click on video links in which it opens up a new window to view the video, the video doesnt show a pic, then it freezes up or drags like mad, this happens in both Firefox and IE7. The system does have quicktime and WMP installed in it, and when I chose either one of them to play under that format, it does the same thing.

I am able to view videos embedded into sites like on youtube and such, but not ones where it opens a new window. Whats the problem?

Howdy..

Have you made sure you have all popup blockers off? This can be a major contributor... What firewall do you have?

I am using Windows Firewall.

I dont know why a popup blocker would interfere as it never had before, I mean the window itself pops up when I click on the video. Its just the video in the window itself dont work, I hear sound but see nothing, and it nearly lags out the cpu.

just somtimes pop up blockers interfere. If you dont click allow..

This is more a browser issue than a gpu issue.

Try going to (in IE) and setting the security settings for privacy down to medium low. See if that helps..

If not we can go look into the custom level of security

Many newer web videos are played through a Flash file, bypassing all but the most basic components of your video adapter. If you're talking about other videos that may be AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV, etc. then I would have to say it's a driver/codec issue.

Noting that this happens on both Firefox and IE7 now where videos does this.

IE7 I have a problem with keeping Java installed or any addons working in it also. So IE7 has more problems then just this.

Videos on my Computer thats saved and all, does the same thing.

its like the System resources goes to 100% and everything is just dragging so bad I cant move or nothing will do anything, upon closing the video which takes so long to do, the screen flickers off and on every couple of secs, I am forced to hit the reset buttong.

While I dont know if this is the problem or not, when ever I click on video links in which it opens up a new window to view the video, the video doesnt show a pic, then it freezes up or drags like mad, this happens in both Firefox and IE7. The system does have quicktime and WMP installed in it, and when I chose either one of them to play under that format, it does the same thing. I am able to view videos embedded into sites like on youtube and such, but not ones where it opens a new window. Whats the problem? __________________ I can speak Chinese, PPHUBK'YU.

I dont know why a popup blocker would interfere as it never had before, I mean the window itself pops up when I click on the video. This is more a browser issue than a gpu issue. Try going to (in IE) and setting the security settings for privacy down to medium low. See if that helps..
