Graphics driver messed up
I redone a friends computer last night and when I put the motherboard drivers and graphic drivers back in I restarted the computer. While it was restarting, it displayed all the post messages and showed the xp boot screen but when it got to the welcome screen, the screen went black. I went into safe mode and disabled the graphics driver then the computer started up with no problem. The driver that I installed is the actual driver that came with the motherboard and onboard video. It worked with no problem the first time. Sorry I dont have the model numbers, I called him and he wasnt home this morning but I will have them post on here later today.

Re: Graphics driver messed up
Find out the brand and model of the motherboard, then you can go to that companies website and download updated drivers for the onboard video. Make sure you uninstall all traces of the video drivers before hand, though. Go through Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and remove the video drivers only.
