HELP! I have an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe with a Athlon 64 4000 and BFG's 7900s in SLI. Yesterday I decided to try Nvdia's nTune. The course 20 minute auto adjust worked fine so I stepped up to the 3hrs fine auto adjust-BIG MISTAKE! Now my machine just goes through the start/restart cycle flashing a blue screen just before going off no matter what I do with the bios settings and won't boot in safe mode!Right after the Windows SPLASH screen, goes black screen then it flashes a blue screen too fast to read and turns off and back on to start all over again. I get the: we apoligize but Windows did not start successfully... I've tried the last known good config-no help! Any ideas? Where do I start to troubleshoot?

Re: nTune Disaster II
I'm going to guess you chose the VGA mode as well? if not, that can bail you out alot of the time. Uninstall the graphic hardware in the device manager and reboot. Could be the ntune has a driver service that loads on startup without being able to disasble it. it could be defaulting to bad overclock settings?

Re: nTune Disaster II
If I read that correctly, chrisria can't even boot into safe mode, so going into device manager is a no-go either way. If you can boot into safe mode, definitely uninstall your graphics cards, reboot and start over. If you can't go into safe mode, try taking out one of your video cards and just use the other and see if you can get into safe mode. If that doesn't work, try the other card instead. I highly doubt your video card(s) were damaged by using nTune, but that is a possibility. You may need to return them to the retailer you bought them from.

Re: nTune Disaster II FollowUp
Thanks for all the input! Tried one video card at a time-no change! Can't boot into any mode including safe!Blue screen flashes by so quickly I can't read any info! Another sites guru thought I would have to reflash bios in DOS to repair due to problem being an incompatibility with my bios version-what do you guys think? Whats the procedure?

Re: nTune Disaster II FollowUp
am I guessing you have access to another PC with internet access?
Updating the bios used to be something done with serious caution but nowadays some boards even have 2 bios in them like my gigabyte. Anyhow, You have the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe so I pulled that up for you. http://usa.asus.com/prog_content/mid...75&modelmenu=4 Here is the only problem I see at the moment since you aren't able to get into windows. The BIOS utility posted you will see is supported under windows only. The bios itself is a separate download. So the question is, can you use a generic dos flash utility for your bios... Whether it's phoenix, award, ami, etc. I wouldn't advise you on any one in particular but perhaps a call or email into asus tech support may be necessary to establish if this board indeed is capable of a bios upgrade (flash) using a DOS based utility. If anyone out here has this board and would care to share your experience regarding bios upgrading, feel free to join in. Quote:
