2 monitor setup
Hi,
I have one 256 MB video card on a Dell XP professional computer. I have a split DVI cable going to a second monitor that works, the problem is, I want the 2nd monitor to show the same thing as the 1st monitor. Right now the only way I can set it up is for the 2nd monitor to act as "additional desk space", which is not what I want. Thanks ! |

Re: 2 monitor setup
Hi,
What is your video card? You should have the option to clone your display, which will make each the same. In the Settings tab of the Display Properties, you can also drag the two display windows over each other if they are set at the same resolution.

I've checked all the display options and there is no option for "clone" I also tried dragging the display windows over each other and that didn't do anything. No matter what I do, the only options seem to be either turn the 2nd monitor off, or use it as an extention. I just want to be able to make the 2nd monitor show the same exact screen as the 1st. I can't believe it's this difficult to do something that seems like something that should be an obvious option. Anyone have any ideas ? |

Re: 2 monitor setup
Is this a laptop you are working with? Also, do you have the Catalyst Control Center installed? If you don't, download it and use that.
