dx10 cards?
I have a geforce 7950, and I thought it was pretty good, but now people are all getting the 8800 dx10 card! I feel like I just wasted a lot of money on this card ($270) SO are there any more dx10 cards planned and when will they come out? Also how much will they cost?

The 8800's are nVidia's flavor for DX10 cards. ATi has some in the works as well but information is just trickling in. It will be some time before DX10 becomes necessary for your computer to be compatible with so enjoy your 7950. Or you can sell it to me :D

Honestly, just keep the card. Vista will run on DX9, and it will be a while for any games to fully take advantage of DX10 and not offer DX9 versions.

i put up a nice list, it includes a 8800GTS
now the 1Mill dollar question is: if 2 7900GT's cards wont do better then a single 8800GTS list also includes a 650W PS a Core2 Duo E6400 G,Skill 2Gb (2X1Gb) 150Gb 10k Rpm hdd and a 92mm CPU Cooler not thinking about installing vista for at least 1 year or so |

2 x 7950GT would be around the same as an 8800GTS, but worse than an 8800GTX. 2 x 7900GT would always be worse than a single 8800GTS. But it does depend on what chipset you have. The above comparison is assuming you have an SLI X16 chipset like the nForce4 SLI x16, the nForce 590, and the nForce 680i. If SLI mode operates at 8x and 8x, then there would be a slight performance hit, and anything below that would lower performance more. I would just get an 8800GTS unless you want to save and can get the exact 7900GT or 7950GT you currently have. And if you have any of the above mentioned combos, you will want at least a high quality 750+ w PSU like the PC Power & Cooling 750 w EPS12 v or the FSP 760 w ATX12 v. A 650 w PSU won't cut it, especially with a WD Raptor high speed drive.
