Hey guys, wondering if you can offer a little assistance.
I recently bought a HIS radeon x1950 AGP card, and ive been having a few problems with it. Firstly i bought it took it out of the box, removed my old one, placed it all in etc... then realised that in my computer there wasnt a 6 pin power lead coming from my psu.... there was only one 4 pin. So today i went and bought a converter which takes two 4 pin power leads into one 6 pin. So i put it all together, realising i had only one 4 pin power lead spare, so i removed a 4 pin power lead from the cd rom drive i have, to use that as the other (i also have a dvd drive). Only problem is now my computer wont boot up :(. So i tried putting al the cables back where they were before when my computer was last working, and its not turning on :S. I really dont know whats happened. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, and could tell me what could have caused my computer to stop turning on. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. :) |

Hi,
What happens when you boot? Does it start up and shut back down, or stay on? Also, does it make any beeps or display any POST errors?
