gpu advise
Ok so i have a 256 mb ati radeon xpress 200 right not and i was thinking about spending around $200 to get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102041
and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151023 ok i know it is only 430 watts but its quality and thats what matters =) any just seeing how much that would increase proformance (as you think and if you think its a good deal)

but i might just buy card as calculator said i need 220 (only one hard drive and an external drive =p cut back on the budget anyway.. i have a 300 watt now so ill buy card and power if i need to its a new computer so the power suppliy is fresh

is the ati xpress onboard ? id suggest a powersupply off 450 or better for any upgrade.
with those components and a quality video card you will be pulling propably around 350 to 380 watts ( remember to add 30% for efficiency drop etc!) also look for the x1650xt or the 7600GT ! as they are better then the x1600pro

The 7600GT is a bit slower than the X1650XT, and you should be looking at 550+ w for that system anyway.

Both the X1600XT and the X1650XT I mentioned have GDDR3 at the same speed as the 7600GT. Some of them have GDDR2, but don't get those, get the GDDR3 versions. The X1600XT and X1650XT have faster core clocks (600 MHz vs. 560 MHz) and the X1650XT has twice as many pixel pipelines (24 vs. 12).

This X1600XT is about the same as an inexpensive 7600GT. And is has a nice rebate on it.
