Hi, this is from Wikipedia:

X1650 series

The X1650Pro uses the RV535 core (which is a RV530 core manufactured with the newer 80nm process). Its clock speeds are almost the same compared to the X1600XT; so the only advantage of the X1650Pro is both lower power comsumption and heat output, which translate into higher overclocking headroom.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radeon_R520#X1650_series

It also depends how many devices you have in your computer, what CPU? CD/DVD?, Harddisks?, Case fans?

Is the monitor directly connected to the psu?

Personally, i had a computer with a 320watt psu AND the monitor directly connected to the psu AND a power hungry Radeon 9800 Pro. This machine needed 260 watts at full load (while playing games). The thing is that if a psu says 320 watts, it will never give you 320 watts. Maybe +/-250watts. So my system was constantly overloaded, until it killed my whole system a few months ago (lost mainboard and 2 harddisks, and psu, of course).

Cheers!

(Since i dont play that often anymore, i just got a cheap Radeon 7000 now, a new LC Power PSU 420watts, the whole system needs 160watts at full load)

I have the x1600 Pro and there was a big sticker on my box saying to only use a 350w PSU minimum, so I bought a better one just to be sure, so your probably best getting a new PSU, I now have a 480w PSU and it seems to be running smoothly.

Don't go out and get a cheap one though because as I have recently found out their simply not very good :P
