Will my PSU unit take a 7950GT?

I'm planning to get a the 7950gt but am unsure whether my power supply will be able to take it.

antec 350w

+5 +3.3 +12 1v +12 2v -12 +5 sb
max 21a 22a 10a 15a 0.3a 2.0a
min 0.5 0.5 1.0 1.0 0a 0a

I've been told it would be able to take it, but I don't really want to run the risk of ruining my computer. I have 3 HDD and a DVD drive attached so, maybe getting a new PSu would be a wise choice?
I just need some good advice!

Thanks!

Hi,

A 350 watt with 10 amps on +12#1 and 12 amps on +12 #2 for a combined amperage of 22 amps (hope I read that correctly) will never be enough to pull this card. That power supply at 350 is way below your requirements.

I would suggest that you read the power supply sticky, put your specs in the calculator, then add 30% and you will see the very bare minimum of what you need. My guess without seeing your specs is that you will need at least a 650 watt (a guess it is) supply to pull that rig.

When you post back list your calculator +30% added and then your computer specs and we won't have to guess as we did with the estimated power supply.

Post back with questions/concerns.

Sorry, my bad for the spacing!

+5 +3.3 +12 1v +12 2v -12 +5 sb
max 21a 22a 10a 15a 0.3a 2.0a
min 0.5 0.5 1.0 1.0 0a 0a

Using the calculator I get 350.9w, this is with the 30% on top. I'm guessing it won't do eh?
I'm getting a new card as my old X1600XT fan failed, and as I have a bit of money I thought I might get a new one...
A friend told me my computer may be able to take it, however, my power supply may fail in a few months time if i kept this up...

1. If I get a new PSU to run the 7950gt, are there any recommendations?

2. If I decide to keep my PSU, could anyone recommend anything that is better than my old X1600XT?

Thanks for your help!

Cheers for that! I guess a 350w really is outdated, best to move forwards and get something that's ready for the future!
Ordered the new card and new PSU now!

Just one thing, before taking out the card I know I should uninstall everything related to my old card...so would I just go to....
1. add /remove prog and add remove hardware - remove current card.
2. install new card and new PSU
3. run the driver cd when prompted

Thanks for all the help!
