Pondering a new video card...

I have an AGP vid card and an AGP based motherboard. I don't like being limited by my mobo and card slot.

I have this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150190

And I am looking at buying this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150209

Any idea how much of a difference I am going to be able to tell?

I will be getting a newer mobo, not a REALLY expensive one, but a fairly good one. I've got Intel Pentium D 2.66 805.

Also, how much of a difference is 512MB of GDDR3 memory as opposed to 256MB GDDR3?

It would be easy to tell the difference between these two. You'll get much better performance from the 7900 over the 7600. However, unless the 512 version of the 7900 is the same price as the 256, it's a waste as the performance gain there is about negligible.

That 7900GS was already overclocked A LOT, so I don't think you will need to do any more.
