Graphics problem

Hey i own a x800gto agp graphics card. I have experienced a problem throughout my game play experience. I can only explain it as lines going through the screen, but its like the screen is trying to catch up. By the way its not frame rate. I get way over 80 fps in morrowind and well over 30 in Oblivion. Anyways I was using Atitool today and noticed it in the screen where it checks for artifacts. I had none but the problem showed up there in the form of the yellow coloring.

The yellow coloring doesnt show up in games its juss highlights things in the tool.Any help on what this could be would be great thanks.

Have you tried installing the lastest drivers from the manufactures website?

Looks like reinstalling the drivers didnt do much at all. I ran atitool again and also played some games (counter strike and oblivion) and the problem still was there. If anyone has any other suggestions please fill free to tell. THANKS!

Sorry for the really late reply. I've been away on Christmas vacation and haven't been near a computer in a while. To answer the previous question I have an Okia 650w power supply. I'm gonna guess its not one of the better brands due to it coming with the case a bought for a new rig. The line 12v+ has an output of 24a.

Are the lines always in the same place or do they move? If they move it could be a connection, a broken pin on the card or something.

Nitrus,
The lines stay in the same spot as far as i have noticed. Im gonna power down in a second and check the connection with the monitor and agp slot.

Eric793,
I have also done everything u have listed. I thought it was temp related but i got a new cooler and it idle at 33 and while playing oblivion it hasn't gone past 50. The lines only show up in 3d programs and no were else as you stated. Maybe its with the connection but ill let u know.

Mmm, if it happens in 3D programs, i would be inclined to say that it might mean that your video card doesnt have 3D acceleration support.

Can you post the exact specs of your video card? Cheers.
