LCD monitor doesn't power off at CPU shutdown
I have a Samsung Syncmaster 912N LCD monitor that used to power off when I shut down the CPU. I changed motherboards and added a nVidia GeForce 6200 LE PCI-E card and it no longer powers off the monitor. I get the message on the monitor to check the signal cable.
I have used two different monitors attached to that same card and they both power off when I shut down. I even connected the Samsung monitor to a different computer with an AGP graphics card and it powers off normally. The problem seems to only be the 912N monitor attached to the nVidia 6200 card. Is this behavior normal for PCI-E cards? Does anyone have any ideas about how to have the monitor power off when I shut down the system? |
