Best settings on graphic card for perfomance?

I have a 6800gs/xt made by xfx. I love to play the game Dark Crusade of the dawn of war series. The game runs perfect until some larger battles in which it lags quiet badly, even though i have settings on the medium range.

What settings should i set the graphics card on to get the best performance out of this game.

P.s. It is an rts, if that matters.

turn off anything shadow related you can lower the texture details a bit and also lower any setting related to reflections

Whats the rest of your system spec ??

Lagg aint just caused by you GFX Card struggling. It can also be down to lack of RAM or an old CPU.

No i dont want to know how to get better performance by alter the game grapics, i already know that. I want to alter the settings on the card itself like the sync, antialiasing and stuff like that. I jsut want to get the bester performance out of my games withought lowering the graphics on my game to much. I already have shadow and lights on low. I have the model and texture on high though.

vsync off, the more AA the more graphic candy the less performance so lower it if u want better performance, graphic aperature size in the bios set it to double your vram.

What are your other specs?

I am sure if you are playing multiplayer online, the lag is a network lag rather than GPU. Check your ping.
