connect two monitors to one desktop

how do i connect 2 monitors to a single desktop?

i have an onboard graphics card (on my AOpen MX3S)and an nVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400.

If you graphics card supports it right click on the desktop and goto properties > setting tab. There you will see two monitor displayed in the box. Click on the one that is greyed out and check [extend my windows desktom onto this monitor] > then hit apply.
