I'm not quite sure if this is the best place to post but I'm running a geforce 4 mx 420 card & I have a tiny problem. I have a divx video that's very high resolution with ac3 audio but when I run the vid on my computer thru my s-video modulator to my tv I get these green block-type bars along the top of my tv screen. It comes out perfectly fine on my pc monitor so I have no idea what to do. When I try to play the vids on my standalone divx dvd player I think i said 'reso. not supported'.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this within the video card tv-output options? I don't care so much to make it play on my standalone, just as long as I can watch it. Also I've tried Winamp, VLC, Windows Media player, media player classic, quicktime, realplayer & cyberlink power dvd. Last edited by MRmonster; 10-28-2006 at 09:10 AM. |

adjust the s-video out connection resolution trough the settings panel in windows. you can see connected display types and one should be s-video try lowering the resolution. also check in the divx player settings if its possible to lower the resolution

I fixed it. And actually, I didnt have to alter the resolution at all.
All I did was switch VLC's video output setting from default to open gl. The only problem after is that the tv wasn't auto displaying fullscreen so I have to keep vlc in fullscreen. :) Thx anyway. |
