GeForce 7600GS

I am looking at buying a Gateway FX510 desktop. It comes with a Geforce 7600GS Dual DVI, Dual link, TV-out. I do not plan to use two monitors.

Does the dual DVI or TV-out have any effect on game picture quality or speed? Any comments on how this card handles high end games?

Thanks

im pretty sure your wouldnt see a Decrease in performance with the Dual DVI and the TV-out.These are just little Extras.

as for the 7600GS, it should run most high-end games, but your settings would have to medium/high. If you have the Money look for a 7900GS/GT.

But there shouldnt be any problems with the 7600gs gaming wise.

Overall in terms of gaming the GS models are not quite as good as the GT models, however the 7600GS along with your listed system specs for the FX510X should be able to do the latest games justice, though not necessarily at the highest settings.

yeah i kind of heard that too at the local pc shop. Underclocked to reduce the Heat, but im sure you could overclock the GS to a GT, or would you have to unlock piplines and all that stuff?

thers the GTS wich is a GT selling for the GS price EVGA makes it.

the 7600GS can propably be overclocked to GT specs but id watch out. Sometimes its possible but usually the GS is made by using a GT chip with a lower yield of performance so it might be possible that that specific chip cant run up to par with the GT.

the 7600GS will do fine in most games but you will have to play at med/high settings depending on game.
