Recommend video card
I have a amd 64x2 4200+, running a Radeon X700 Pro. Can anyone suggest a more powerful video card that I can use without upgrading the power supply? It is PCI Express....Thanks for the help. It really bogs on Company of Heroes at high setting.

please pos the specs of your powersupply and also your motherboard. id recommend something along the lines of a 7900GT or a x1950pro or x1900GT this depends on the power supply. also a strong oger is the xfx 7600GTS as it sells for the price of a GS but performs more like a GT

If you want a nice upgrade from an X700 I would go with a GeForce 7900GS/GT.
If you do that upgrade, I would make sure you have an adequite power supply. What PSU do you have? Look on the back of it to find out.

That is a wicked good deal LOL. I would definatley go for it if its in your budget. The only thing is, that card would need a decent PSU. Almost any card that is a significant upgrade from your X700 will need a PSU upgrade.

Video Card
It isnt Sli. I believe the power supply is 350. Not sure about the motherboard. I was looking at some top end Nvidia Cards, but they require a 450 watt power supply. I am relatively new to this, so please bear with my ignorance. When I get to a scene with many explosions in Company of Heroes for instance, the game shuts down. Is it the lack of horsepower in the vid card, or something else? I have a gig of memory, and it is a dual core processor. I believe it is a 2.2 total. I down loaded the dual core optimizer from ATI, and that seems to have helped to a degree. It is a Radeon x700 Pro, with 256 mb memory. Thanks for your help. The model is a HP m7330n.

chaning the power supply takes about 10 minutes, unplugging the cables, unscrewing 4 to 5 screws, putting the screws back in and plugging in the cables.
the only video card that might barely make it with that powersupply might be something in the range of a x1600 or a 7600. if you want something nice go with the 7900gt or gs and upgrade to a psu with atleast 500 watts
