GeForce 6600 SLI question
Hi,
I've just bought an Asus M2N-SLIDELUXE motherboard and a pair of PNY GeForce 6600 video cards, which say right on the box that they're SLI ready. The issue I could use some help with is this: I found when opening the box for the first card that there is no SLI bridge connector on the non-mobo edge of the card like the other SLI cards I've always seen. I was under the impression that this was an important part of their architecture, and that they needed this to work. Since they don't have them, I'm assuming that they will work without, but I just wanted to be absolutely sure before I opened the box for the second one. Any help you can provide in clarifying this would be appreciated. Thanks a bundle in advance TSF :) -Flax

Okay, a little extra searching on the forum seems to have brought me to the answer that no, no bridge is required to run them in SLI mode. Thanks for reading my thread anyway. I'll take my noob butt back to the workbench now :P

The first generation of cards did require the bridge, but upgrades to the technology have eliminated that need. You might be able to sell off that connector online.
