That's really an open-ended question. We would need to know the complete specs on your computer, including motherboard.

crossfire

okay as far as specs go.. i don't know which one but the motherboard will have the radeon express 3200. as far as i know this is the only one with two 16x crossfire PCIe slots. Procesor= AMD 4200 X2 socket AM2, 2 GB PC800 DDR2 ram, 160 GB western Digital HD, Sound blaster X-Fi platinum, all this along with 2 asus X1600 pros both crossfire edition. I have been told that with the 1600's it is okay if both are crossfire edition rather than one being cf ready and the other cf eddtion. Any tips???

can't verify the two x cf edition, but i may have read it somewhere.

i know that 1600s and the 1300s use dongleless cf, so that may be the case that u could use two cf editions.

Make sure your powersupply is up to the job. Although I'm just running a humble agp 9600xt, my power supply recently crapped out and I upgraded to a Silverstone 560W which is 'ATI crossfire certified.' Just curious, would this power-supply also be compatible with nvidia's SLI technology? Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but it is somewhat related...

there are no "master" cards in the x1600 and x1300 series. i have one too but my second pcie slot pcie x4 and i really dont an advantage of having 2 cards both running at x4 when i can have one at x16. so the double x16 lanes will boost it up.

all you need is a board that can handle the crossfire like the 3200 and the two cards. u will also need the latest catalyst drivers from ati and thez have a checkbox in there wich says enable crossfire.

let me know if u need help i know how to set it up and make it work but i didnt get a second card cause my second slot wasnt x16

Well at least you have the same exact video cards. If you had even slightly different ones the higher performance card will have features like extra pipelines disabled to match the lower performance card. Also try to find out more about your motherboard; make/model etc helps very much.
