Refresh rate

Good day folks I hope I put this in the right forum.

My question is will running my 21 inch HP p1130 at a refresh rate of 100 (it says it can do this) cause the monitor or my computer any problems?

I just got this monitor a day ago from work, it’s a real nice moniyor but I have it hooked up to my laptop right now until I get a new home computer.

My laptop is a Toshiba 5100 Satellite with a Nvdia GeForce4 440 Go 64 meg graphics card in it.

Thanks in advance

no shouldnt be any problem,if so when ya change graphics settings you get the box saying it will revert back to old settings if you dont hit yes to apply,so if the refresh rate is to high, and the screen goes black it will correct itself, and as far as causeing damage i really have never heard of that happening from to high a refresh rate.

Hi,
It wouldn't be a good idea. It could mess it up. The max you should put that monitor is 75hz.

If it can run, why not? One thing, though... Some monitors get a bit fuzzy at higher refresh rates.
