SLI Help

I just built my first SLI system this week and I'm having some problems. Everytime I enable SLi on my video cards on restart it loads to windows, freezes and then restarts. This happens everytime I try and start my computer.

Motherboard: Asus A8N32-SLI deluxe
Graphics Cards:
1)eVGA 256-P2-N518 Geforce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail
1)eVGA 256-P2-N516-RX Geforce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail (this seems to be an updated version of the above card)

Could it be that the speeds are off and if so how so I change them?

no with the newest drivers sli can work between different cards as long as they are the same gpu type like yours 2x7800gt. first thing i would do is remove your older card that you know works and test the new card to make sure its not at fault.if its good try a driver cleaner like this http://www.drivercleaner.net/ then do a fresh install of your drivers. in the case of one card having higher clocks the faster card will be slowed to match the slower card

pharoah has given you good advice. As suggested, test each card on its own, to make sure they both work.

What driver version are you using? I recommend you use the 84.21's, as they are the most up-to-date drivers which are stable. The newer 91.31's have a lot of bugs.

If you still have problems, it would help for us to know the rest of your system specs, especially the power supply (see "Posting System Specs" in my signature).
