Help Benchmarking Games
Any chance anybody knows of a benchmarking utility that includes support for UT2004 or is created specifically to benchmark UT2004? I've tried UMark and benchmark.exe which was introduced in the 32xx patch but I was hoping there was something out there that would allow me to compare the results to others with similar system specs, a lot like 3DMark06 does for overall graphic card performance. Any chance anybody knows of such a program?
Only reason I'm pushing for UT2004 is becuase I bought a new computer, MUCH better than my old one, and the only game I really used to play was UT2004 and it is actually running slower on my new machine. |

I don't know of any programs to do specifically what you want, but UT2004 has a built in FPS counter, or you could download the free version of Fraps (I forget if it's a trial, or just doesn't let you record).
Then your easiest way to check is to find some forums (we don't do much benchmarking here) where other's will post about what they get. What is your old/new computer? Maybe you turned up the graphics settings a little too high on the new computer? I play that game, so I can help you with getting it correct. That being said, the game doesn't need much to run, so you should be able to run it on pretty high settings. |

Type into UT2004 console "stat fps 1" to activate fps counter.
