eVGA Geforce 7600GT KO help

I have jsut bought a 7600GT i noticed i was not getting the same performance as the people with lesser comps. My specs are:

1GB Dual Channel DDR
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ @2.2 but somehow ends up at 3.2
200GB Hardrive.

My problem is the 7600GT was said to run at 580/1500 but its at 580/750 and i cant find anyway to raise it to the advertised amount i tried it with powerstrip but i got blak outs and weird colors over my screen the cards not broken it runs fine i jsut wanna know if theres any nvidia driver or program that can set it to the true speed i should get. Also it runs at 49 degrees celsius and the fan doesn't get very noticible. It cant be the power theres nothing in my comp really taking any power since almost everything is small.

Srry for spelling my keyboard is crap.

powersupply. open your case, and look at where the cord coming from the computer is plugged into. it should be plugged into a box thing that has alot of wires coming out. look atthe sticked that might be on the op of it. read of EVERYTHING it says. you can just take a pic of it iff you want, but make sure it is legible

You really need to upgrade the power supply. To be honest, I'm surprised you can even run the system on that PSU. You need to look at a 500W+ PSU, from a quality brand like Enermax.

Sell the current PSU then. An underpowered system will not run well, and those new GeForce cards are very power hungry. Can you afford something like this?

Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-500 ATX12V 500W Power Supply - $69.99

Since DDR RAM is double the speed listed, it's running at 1.5Ghz. 750Mhz would be the single data rate.

sorta. use the power calculator in my sig, fill it out, and add 20% for about your power. but it doesnt have all the newer cards, unfortuently. but you must remember: the 300 watts is peak power. it normally runs around 200-250

Its 270 but my motherboard looks a lot smaller than others the motherboard is a Geforce 6100 and i picked the highest nvidia card. You also have to remember the 7600GT KO dosnt require much power.
