quick question on VC

would i be able to install this card on my Compaq Presario S5000NX???

ATI Radeon® X1300 Pro Video Card - it supports XP and Vista which i have now obnly thing i dont know is if i have the x16 PCI slot im just not sure if the ones i have are x16... if i cant use this card can you tell me what is the best possible card i can get for my computer... right now i have

Compaq Presario s5000NX
Windows VISTA
2.5Ghz intel Celeron
TON of HD space (about 280GB on one hd and 12GB on the other)
1GB memory
basic onboard graphics... (only thing i have to upgrade).

Most motherboards that PCI-Express capable motherboards have at least ONE PCI-E 16x slot. To check, open the case and look for a slot that's about 4.5" in length with a small opening near the back of the case and a long opening opposite of it.

As far as I can see on any of the specs I have looked at for your system it does not have a pci x16 slot, nor does it have an AGP slot which really limits the performance of the card that you can get. Here is a list of the cards i could find in pci slots. As you can see none of them are very close to the x1300 in performance. To be honest I dont even know if any of those cards will be supported by VISTA
