Dual Monitor Help
Hi,
I am a computer noobie and I would like to set up dual monitors for my computer. I have an agp ATI Radeon X800 XL graphic card and an Asus K8v se-deluxe motherboard. I would like to know what i need to do to do dual monitor setup such as any extra parts needed or installation process. Thanks you guys in advance. oh yeah, and dual monitors as in both extended desktop and multi tasking with two monitors. thanks again in advance oh yeah and i don't plan on getting another graphic card. i want my gcard to run both monitors. thanks again in advance Last edited by dragonxking; 07-03-2006 at 03:21 AM. |

It's really quite simple. Your video should have two connectors on the back, one blue and one white. The card should also have come with a small connector that looks like it plugs into the white port and allows for a monitor to be plugged into the other end. With that you can connect a second monitor with no problem.

Then in the windows display properties, go to the settings tab and click advanced. You should see another window with a lot of tabs. Click on the displays tab (I think thats correct) and you should see 3 or 4 different display pictures including CRT, flat pannel, and TV. Once you have the two minitors hooked up, click display devices connection or something like that. Set the resolution and make them seperate displays.
