Mistake Asus N6600 Dual Screen crash/restat...

Hi guys!
I have the following system congig:
ASUS A8N-SLi Mobo
AMD 3000+ CPU
2 x 512Mb Geil DDR 400 RAM
Maxtor 300GB SATA HDD
Sony DVD-ROM
Sony DVD-RW
ASUS Silencer N6600 Display running dual monitors

Everything runs perfectly for about 11 months, then suddenly the screens simply go to standby mode ( blinking orange lights next to power buttons ), or the pc reboots without warning.

When you restart, it comes out of standby mode for a second ( both monitors ) and then simply goes back to standby while the rest of the machine boots up. - I can see and hear the HDD reading like it should.

Tried disconnecting one screen, but no luck.

Tried my RAM as well. Swapped each stick in the B1-slot as described in the booklet and advise I got from some friends "who knows everything..." - no luck.

The Mobo has a small card as well which you can take out, turn it over and clip it back in. This is used when you run 2 SLi cards at the same time. - Tried different configs with this as well. No luck.

Everything else works just fine. The fans on the CPU, on the Mobo and on the PSU. No wires are loose ( power ) and all cables are fine as well.

Unfortunately, the Mobo does not come with a speaker ( ?????? ) so I cant listen for error codes...

If ANYONE had a similar problem, please let me know!

I need my pc up and running as I work from home. - Very frustrating if you have to switch to a laptop with all your files on the desktop...

Thanks much!!!

My System

Hello, noticed no one has replyed to you in a while....how were the temps on the machine, have you tried running the computer with the side off and a fan blowing into the case, does the videocard still get hot or is it cold, what psu do you have. The small card inside the case enables/disables sli function...make sure sli is disabled, since you only have one card....post back what you find, Im not an amd guy, but I'll try to help out.
