Dual GPU's

Hi forum! I have the Advent "ultimate gaming pc" which has dual GPU's, but I just realised that one of them is built into the motherboard?? They are both ATI Radeon X600 series, one built in and the other is PCI express. How can I find out if they are BOTH running? CAN they both run simultaneously?
Thanks for the help.

Integrated and PCI-E of the same card? I don't see how it would help. I suppose you could try disabling the second one in device manager and see if that causes a drop in performance with a benchmarking utility. I suppose it's theoretically possible, but I don't see how it would help much, since as soon as you upgrade to a different brand of video card, or even a different model of the same brand, I'm pretty sure that would negate any performance increase in that aspect. Assuming it's helping in the first place.

This is certianly a new concept to me! Can you tell us what the model is of your PC so we can get exact specs on it?

If they are both running, then the only possible reason I can see for it is for having multiple monitors. I doubt they would be running together for increased performance.

Ok thanks for the input people. Fox I tried what you said and it got the exact same score! Im not sure exactly what the deal is but I am going to get in touch with pc world and find out *** they are doing?! Why would they sell a brand new pc with two graphics cards (exactly the same) and you can only use 1?! The motherboard btw is a MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-7091. I am fuming as there is NO support on the MSI website, or anywhere else I can find for this MOBO! Will probably get mad at someone from PC world and get a new one!
OK thanks again.
