Asus Radeon 9800XT Graphics Card Problems
I have been playing world of warcraft for a while now and i keep getting these streaks that travel from the center of the screen to the outsides. I spent a while trying to figure out what was wrong and finally found that one of the 2 fans broke and does not work anymore. Sadly my card is not under warranty anymore so i can't send it in. I was wondering if it's worth it to buy a new cooling system and try that or do you think that my card is shot now that it's been used for a while without proper cooling. If I should test my card with a new cooling system first let me know which one i should try. Thanks a lot!

you might try the arctic cooling silencer at3 rev. 2 I had one on my card but went back to the stock cooler, I gave it to another member of this board and he's having good luck with it (his name is rationalbean).
I've been thinking about the new zalman vf900 myself, but either way the asus cooler is much more effective than most of the other 9800 vid cards. Pint

arctic cooling
I've been running an arctic cooling ATI silencer (can't remember revision) on my 9800XT for about a year and a half. It dropped temps about 10C as well as being quieter. The installation manual is iffy so get your brain all turned on before the install (BE CAREFUL!). All in all a good cooler. Your problem does sound like heat. Don't wait too long.
