No moving water

Hi all, I am new to the site.

I play Tiger Woods online golf and this is my problem.

I can't see moving water when I play custom courses.

I see it fine on the stock courses, just not on the customs.

I have an ATI X300 128 mb PCI express video card, Win XP . I have heard its a problem with Radeon, but no one seems to know exactly what the problem is.

I would like to upgrade and need to find out what mine is lacking that other cards are not.

Thank You

well for one, that vga isnt that great. get a 6600Gt or 6600 and you might get better results. the problem is just lack of vga power i believe. could some one back me up on this?

This sounds more like a game glitch than a card glitch. Granted a better card will add performance, it's hard to blame it on it.

Thank You all for your replies.

I am video card illiterate, so could you give me a couple of options as to a better card?

What do you look for in a video card? Without spending a fortune. I have heard a nvidia geforce 6800 is good.

Or is it as simple as getting one with 256mb instead of 128mb, does that matter?

Heck I thought I was getten a good card when I got this one. lol

Thanx again all.
