Hardware accellerator issue
For the past few months, my hardware accellerator has gone bad...i believe it may be a problem with Direct3D but am not sure.
Symptoms... -on games that use hardware accelleration either objects are just not there, certain areas (not all) do a sort of blur thing, or the whole screen is doing the 'blur' thing -one game is saying "cannot initialize DX8, check your Direct settings" (the blur thing i'm talking about is something like this: say you are playing a FPS, you are looking straight ahead, nothing is wrong. when you turn, it blends all the frames in between together) What i have done... -i ran DirectX Diagnostics and all D3D tests were successful -i have DirectX 9 Installed but can not find a folder for it, all i find is a folder for DirectX 2 What i have... -i have windows NT with a GeForce 2 MX/MX 400 i would like to know how to fix this but just knowing whats going on would be fine. |

That card is a DX7 device so anything that REQUIRES DX8+ won't run on it. The latest Detonator drivers at www.nvidia.com will work on that card.
