Theres a place to start, also make sure the connections are secure in both areas (to computer and from monitor)

You eliminated the monitor so I would next replace the video card.
Can you successfully boot into Safe Mode? (tapping F8 at boot)

Its possible the card has gone bad, it happens all of the sudden. Of course you have been having issues with the video so I would have expected it.
Replace the card and if your still having issues post back, we will look elsewhere. We need to rule this out before we start looking for other failing hardware.

Disconnect your cd roms and remove all other adapter cards and try booting.
If successful add each compnent 1 at a time booting in between.
