Sound is gone all of a sudden

Heya, I'm using a SB live audio [b800] card. I've had it for about 2 months now. I got it working fine when I first got it, but this morning I booted up and turned on the music and no sound. I checked volume control, i checked winamp volume, i checked in sounds and audio settings, i checked if headphones worked instead of speakers (they didn't).

I changed the sound playback to the onboard nvidia audio and tried using the other plugs, but all I get is a loud tone sound. What's more, everything was 100% fine lastnight.

Is this a soundcard issue? Or is it something else?
I'm running XP, any help would be appreciated.

I fixed it, moved the card to a new PCI slot and it reinstalled itself and went fine. Does this mean the PCI slot it was in is buggered?

Thats a pretty good assumption, they do go bad sometimes.
