This is the exact problem i have been talkin about in my thread that no one has replied too. What i tried to do is find the drivers for the soundmax onboard audio on anotehr computer of a similiar model...burn the drivers onto a cd and put them in the correct locations such as: c:/windows/system32 and c:/windows/system32/drivers and the yellow question mark went away...and then i went to see if audio would play...still no luck....i dont even have a clue what else i can try. I've tried everything possible and it will not work. I tried resetting IRQs, we upgraded bios, installed a new sound card and disabled the old onboard sound....and i cant get the stupid thing to work...we've been working on this since about 10 this morning until now....and nothing.
