Cry A2 Sound issue with my favorite game

Hello my first post here!!
Built my new system and used onboard sound..that stinks..LOL I pulled my A2 out of my old system and put it in the new one. I can play every game I throw at it except my FAVORITE one Nascar 2003 racing I get the blue screen of death with a machine check excption... All the games ran fine before putting the card in and all EXCEPT my racing sim work fine with the Audigy2. I have tried moving the card to another slot, moving the hardware slidder down to all settings, Beta drivers, even reinstalling the game after installing the card...Nothing works. My question is: while looking at my mobo bios i see that the pci clock is set to [auto] the other chioces are [33] and [lock to cpu]. could this be my issue? and would it affect anything if I set it to 33?

this is almost definately NOT your problem, but I would never say never. This clock speed is automatically determined by your motherboard to match your system but go ahead and change it to 33 if you want, it won''t destroy your system to play around a bit. Though if you change the settings and make them too extreme you system may not boot/run properly. At worst may have to reset the cmos to default then re-institute the old settings.

It is more likely that the game is stuck on the old settings (that is the config settings for the game, hardware software addressing and such) and now that the new card is installed it cannot make the adjustments properly.
If you can get in the game then reset everything to default, (if this is possible) If you cannot get into the game I would UN-install it (make sure you remove any directories manually if they remain after the install) then reinstall. this should cure the problem.

i can get into the game and change any settings i want (and have) but as soon as I start "playing/driving" the game it crashes....but it works just fine(just sounds eh) with the onboard sound and I have tried several settings with the sound just to try to create the same problem.....to no avail. I know creative is tempermental but I have read that the X-FI is working well in new rigs...should I consider this?
